- Funny thing, people who have pets live 10-20 years longer. Farm kids exposed to massive amounts of bacteria have less respiratory infections, hay fever, asthma than city kids. Bottom line, bacterial exposure is good for us.

Born in Australia. Grew up playing rugby league, surfing, playing tennis and running. State champ high school rugby and 880 yards runner, being1964. Came to USA 1965. State champ 2 mile. Vietnam war. Then MD degree 1980, First in national residency boards, married 44 years, three chidden, 8 grandchildren, retired 2011. Now living and surfing in Costa Ricabut limited by multiple brain, spine shoulder, and cancer surgeries. Live life to its fullest!
